My career started at Soundwell Technical College in September 1991 when I enrolled on a full time 3-year BTEC National Certificate in Motor Vehicle Engineering course, which also included City & Guilds part 1 & 2.
In May 1992 I was offered the opportunity to work at Brislington Park Toyota/Lexus, as an apprentice, and returned to college part time to finish my studies.
During my training at Brislington Park I attained a credit for Lazerline Alarm systems for the installation & diagnosis of insurance approved category I & II products. At the end of my apprentiship with Brislington Park in October 1996 I joined Cowie Toyota in Patchway as an Improver/Technician.
In July 1997 I passed the Vehicle Inspectorate-Training course to be an MOT tester, allowing me to carry out MOT testing at Cowie.
In September 1997 I furthered my education with a diploma with the Institute of Motor Industry (IMI) which was a two year evening course focusing on the management side of trade. I gained my diploma in September 1999.
In late 2002 I was offered the position of Assistant Foreman, which I accepted, helping out with the technical and problem solving work throughout the workshop.
In the early months of 2004 the idea to start First Choice began and in June 2004 we were open for business.
Why not find out about the courses I have completed?
